From October 25: Week 8 – Hot is Hot

We have four games where the best team wins. They are all at home. The lines are big, and we’re going to change that.
The first game is at 1:00 PM on Sunday when the Giants play against the Eagles in Philadelphia. No matter how we break down both teams, the most important detail is the Giants have lost the last 11 games in the City of Brotherly Love. Their last win was 12 years ago. Enough said. The betting line is -7 ½ Eagles. Buy 1 point or 1.5 and go with the Eagles.
The other 1:00 PM game we’re looking at is the Browns vs the Patriots up in Foxborough. The Patriots have won their last 4 and the Browns have Dillon Gabriel at QB. Dillon is a rookie QB who became the starting QB on October 1st. He is 5’11” and has to keep up with the hot Patriots offense. The Pats are favored by -7 and we are going to buy them down to 5 ½.
In addition to betting them straight up, you can use the Eagles and Patriots in a 2 team, 7 point teaser.
As for the late games, they’re great on paper yet the betting lines are very high.
We’re most intrigued by the 4:25 PM game between the Titans and the Colts. Indy is home and favored by 14 ½. They’ve scored 232 points so far this season, making them 1st in scoring and are averaging 33 points a game. The Titans are 32nd in scoring with 96 points, averaging under 14 points a game. It’s a tough number to play, unless you buy the game down to 13 or use them in a teaser.
Our last game is on Monday night with the KC Chiefs playing host to the Washington Commanders. The Chiefs are on fire, with their offense averaging 31.5 points over the last 4 games. Washington has had injuries and are on a 2 game losing streak. They’re not the same team we saw in 2024. Marcus Mariota is their QB and the line is -12 ½.
Our key game is the Indy-Tennessee Game. We like it when the number 1 scoring team in the NFL is at home against the number 32 team.
