From October 18: Week 7 – A Good Week to Stay Dry
We have two games that stand out equally. The first game is between the Dolphins and the Browns in Cleveland. The weather is supposed to be awful and both teams are dreadful. Despite their shared terrible records (1-5, respectively), there is one major difference between these teams. Can you guess what it is?
Cleveland has the better defense. Their current record aside, the Browns play well at home and are used to the rainy Ohio weather. Unlike them, Miami is playing poorly on both sides of the ball and have big problems in their locker room. This game figures to be a low scoring one. The Browns are favored by 2 ½ and the money line is – 140. With home field advantage and a very good defense, we give the edge to Cleveland. Bet them straight up to win or go with the money line.
Our second game is the Raiders vs the Chiefs in KC. This is a divisional game with real stakes. The Chiefs are 3 – 3 and in 3rd place behind the Chargers and Broncos, who are both 4 – 2. The Raiders are 2 – 4 and need this win. Yet, the Raiders’ big problem is the season record. Their two wins were against two weaker teams: New England in Week 1 and then last week against Tennessee. They lost games against the Chargers (20-9), the Commanders (41-24), and Indy (40-6). They are now up against the Chiefs who are favored by 11 ½. KC is back to playing like champions they’ve been in recent years: they’ve scored 30+ points over their last 3 games, are healthy, and are getting back their #1 receiver Rashee Rice after a 6 game suspension. The line is a healthy 11 ½.
We are going to buy down the game to 10 and lay the juice.
Last week, we hit our big 7 point teaser and are going with another one this week.
We will go with – 4 ½ Kansas City and, in a twist, hook them up with + 4 Seattle who are home on Monday night and are favored to win by 3.
