From August 18: Week 3 – We Have a Winner

Let’s talk about the New York Jets. Their over / under total for wins this coming year is projected to be 6 ½. The over / under win total for Tampa Bay is 9 ½. They meet in Week 3 and, bearing any major injuries, the Buccaneers will be a hot pick.

The Jets open the season at home against the Steelers. This will be a tough one for the Jets against former QB Aaron Rogers and one of the NFLs best defenses. Last year the Steelers allowed 347 points in the regular season. For comparison, Detroit allowed 342 and Baltimore allowed 361.

Then in Week 2, the Jets will still be home hosting the Bills, who are favored to win the Super Bowl. We like Josh Allen over Justin Fields. After two losses at home, the Jets will travel to Tampa Bay for Week 3 on September 21st at 1:00. Playing in Florida during September (aka the tail end of summer), the weather will always be a factor.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers open the season on the road for a division rival game in Atlanta. The Bucs are the better team and currently favored by 2 ½. Then in Week 2, Tampa Bay plays against Houston and the Bucs have a better defense. This leads us to Week 3, the Buccaneers first home game of the season. We Like Todd Bowles and Baker Mayfield to open at home with a big win against the New York Jets. This could be a real mismatch.
