From October 11: Week 6 – A Strong Defense + A Strong Offense = A Sunday Teaser

This Sunday morning, wake yourself up with breakfast and some action on the day’s opening game. The Broncos are playing the Jets in London, with Denver favored by 7. The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league and the Jets, well…, have one of the worst. The Broncos have given up 81 points in five games. We see them playing better each week. They are 3 – 2 for the year, with their two (very close) losses coming in Weeks 2 and 3 against the Colts and the Chargers. They lost by 1 point to the Colts and by 3 to the Chargers. This is a top tier team going up against the winless Jets.

The Jets lost the first five games and now face Bo Nix and Sean Payton. We feel Sean will get his defense all over Justin Fields in order to force one or more turnovers.

Last week, Fields had a good game against the Cowboys but the stats are misleading. His two touchdowns came in the 4th quarter when Dallas was playing loose in the game where they won 37 – 22.

The line is 7 and if you feel like moving it to – 6 buy a point and you now have a better bet. This is a game where the best team does win.

If you’re a teaser person, play Denver and Indy. The Colts are our 2nd team for the weekend. They’re home against the Arizona Cardinals and favored to win by 7 ½. If you go with that teaser bet, play a 7 point one.

The Colts are the hot team in the NFL. Their season record is 4 – 1 (three wins were on their home turf). Indy’s OL is on fire: they are #2 in scoring with 163 points (only 9 points behind Detroit at 174). Arizona are last in their division, having lost their last three games. These are two teams going in opposite places. This game should be a good one for the Colts who are healthy, hot and hungry.

Our plays are Denver in the Morning and Indianapolis in the afternoon. Afterwards, end the evening with dinner and Sunday Night Football.
