From November 16: Week 11 – How to Win
Each week we see teams explode for 30 to 40 points, or their defense plays beyond expectations. The stars have to be aligned for an action to occur. This week in Spain, the Dolphins take on the Commanders and both teams are 3 – 7. Washington will be without their starting QB and # 1 wide receiver. The season has been a complete disaster for them.
After doing so well in 2024, the team has hit a wall. They are 0 – 5 for their last five games, and even the Giants and Saints have a better last 5 game record at 1 – 4. The Miami Dolphins finally won a game last week. It looks like nothing when you read the box scores, that a bad team finally won, but it was the way they won at home, and the events following the game, that has us here today.
The locker room was buzzing, Miami beat buffalo, a division rival at home convincingly. The team and its fans woke up. The press finally had some good things to say about the team. The celebration in the locker room was a joy to watch and see the excitement and buzz in the players and HC. The team got to Spain early and the city is decked out in Miami Dolphin paraphernalia. Dan Marino seems to be everywhere, promoting the Dolphins and NFL. The team are having a good week, working hard to prepare for the game. Next week is a bye week. They are back in Week 13 against the Saints and then the Jets. This is one of those rare games where the team is coming off a win, playing a hurt team and can see themselves, finishing this season on a high note.
The Line is Miami – 2 ½. The Money line is – 150. This is a game they should win fairly easy.
Our other game is Monday night. The Cowboys are on road in Las Vegas and play the Raiders. The dreadful Raiders are 2 – 7 and have lost their last three games. The main problem is the team doesn’t score points. They’ve scored 139 points compared to the Cowboys, who scored 263. The Cowboys have scored 17 more touchdowns than the Raiders. The last few years, we have watched this team, beat up bad ones. The Las Vegas Raiders are a bad team. The line is – 3 ½. We will buy 1 point because the game is on the road. We’re taking the Cowboys at – 2 ½.
