From December 28: Week 17 – Who Needs to Win?

We are down to the nitty gritty and have two golden nuggets staring at us. The first game has the Seahawks playing on the road in Carolina. The Seahawks are 12 – 3 and the #1 seed in the NFC. Carolina is 7 – 8 and currently in 1st place in their division. One game behind them is Tampa Bay (they’re in Miami today to play the Dolphins). There is an excellent chance that by this evening, the Panthers will have lost to Seattle and Tampa Bay would have won against the slumping Dolphins. Both teams will play each other in Week 18 in Tampa Bay to see who wins the NFC South.
The Panthers already know they don’t match up with the Seahawks and are looking ahead to Week 18 on the road, playing for the Division and a home game with a win in Tampa Bay. The line is -7 Seattle. According to NFL stats, Seattle has scored 443 points while Carolina has gotten 287. With Seattle having a 156 point differential in scoring, we believe it will be impossible for the Panthers to be able to match Seattle. We suggest buying 1 or 1.5 points and go with Seattle to win. Seattle should win by 14 to 17. We’re taking them straight up.
Our next game is the previously mentioned Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami. Tampa Bay has to win, and the Dolphins, just as Elvis Presly has done, have left the Stadium. Tua is gone and half the team wants to be ABM (Anywhere But Miami). The Dolphins’ are looking past this season and are onto the draft. Tampa is favored by 5 ½. Lay the points: let’s go Bucs!
