From October 24: Week 7 – Show Me the Money

We’re in Week 7, and there are no more secrets. The NFL has a few great teams, some good ones, many average teams, and floundering at the very bottom are Miami, Tennessee and the LA Chargers. With everything out in the open, we’re homing in on two games featuring four good teams and two very good opportunities.

Our first game is in Minnesota, with the Vikings playing host to the Indianapolis Colts. The Vikings are 5 – 0 and coming off a bye. They are the #1 defense in points allowed with 64. Indy, on the other hand, has allowed 164. Justin Jefferson will be back, and he alone could cover the spread. The Colts are 2 – 4 which does account for something. They beat a poor performing Houston Texans in Week 3 (19 – 17) and the 1 – 4 Commanders. Indy’s GM just got fired and Daniel Jones isn’t throwing dimes anymore. The line is – 6 and the money line is – 300. You might consider buying ½ a point, laying – 5 ½. If you’re a fan of teasers, hook them up with the Texans (more on them below). Either way, go with the undefeated 5 – 0 Vikings at home.

Our second game is in Houston, where the Texans will take on the Giants. The Giants have benched QB Jamison Winston, and now they’ll have JJ McCarthy throwing the ball. The Giants are currently in 1st place in the NFC East with their 3-2-1 record. The three wins by the Giants were Week 1 against Dallas, Week 3 against the terrible Tennessee Titans, and Week 4 against the mismanaged Arizona Cardinals. They tied Washington two weeks ago and lost to New Orleans last week. NY’s running game is a mess and now they’re playing one of the best teams in the NFL.

The Houston Texans and C.J. Stroud woke up two weeks ago in Tennessee and spanked the Titans 26 – 3 before flying over to the UK for their battle with the Jaguars. The game lived up to the hype, as Houston came out on top 34 – 31. Today the Line is 10 ½. We are buying the game down to – 9 to be under 2 scores. If you’re not happy with the line, use them in a teaser.

At home against a 3rd string awful QB, Houston will rock the house on Sunday.
