From October 8: Week 5 – Money Today

We start the week in Dallas. All signs point to a big win for the Boys. Two weeks ago, they lost to the Ravens by a last second field goal and then came back to win last week against the Texans. Now they are playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are currently 0 – 4.

The Bucs are a mess. They finished last season 1 – 4 and are still looking for their first win for the season. A month in, they’ve lost their starting QB Baker Mayfield, starting safety Antoine Winfield Jr., and cornerback Benjamin Morrison. Tonight’s starting QB will be Jaylon Daniels. He is an undrafted walk-on player with 30 total passes in the NFL. Between Daniels’ relative inexperience and the rest of the Bucs’ offense, the Cowboys should be able to force a minimum of 1 turnover and 1 FG to cover the line.

Over the last three games, the Cowboys have scored 37, 31, and 34 points. Tonight, Dak and the Boys have a chance to rack up some meaningful numbers. The line coming out of Vegas is 8 ½. Dallas should win by 10 or more. If you were thinking of a big wager for this week or this season, then this could be the game for you. We just don’t see an 0 – 4 team with a rookie QB on the road beating the 2nd highest scoring team.

If you’re not happy with 8 ½ , buy it down to 7. Tonight the Cowboys roll!
