From September 26: Week 4 – The Worst Eight Teams and a Pick
In order for us to find a winner for this coming week’s games, we’re going to take a look at the losers who’ve come out at the bottom after three weeks of regular season play. Here is our list of the worst eight teams entering Week 4.
New York Jets (0 – 3), gave up 93 points.
Miami Dolphins (0 – 3), gave up 97 points.
Tennessee Titans (0 – 3), gave up 94 points.
Dallas Cowboys (1 – 2), gave up 92 points.
New York Giants (0 – 3), gave up 83 points, have benched Wilson and are simply horrible.
New Orleans Saints (0 – 3), gave up 90 points and have the distinction of ranking 32nd in NFL Power Ratings.
Chicago Bears (1 – 2) have given up 93 points in three weeks.
Houston Texans (0 – 3), gave up 51 points but only scored 38; they seem to be lost in the oil fields.
The combined record of these eight teams is 2 – 22.
This weekend’s schedule has some interesting and not so interesting games. The Jets are playing in Miami. The Giants are at home against the Chargers, with a rookie QB and a head coach under pressure to produce results. The Saints are in Buffalo and the line is 16 ½. We love Buffalo, but this line is a big line. The Bears are playing the Raiders out west in Sin City and should win. However, we have found not one, but two better games to play.
Game 1 kicks off at 9:30 AM EST from Dublin, Ireland. We are going with the Vikings over the Steelers. Vegas made Minnesota, the better team, a 2 ½ point favorite. Last year, Minnesota was 14 – 3, finishing the season 4 – 1. This year they are 2 – 1. They opened Week 1 with a win on the road against the Bears, with a score of 27 – 24. Then 2 lost fumbles and 2 interceptions from JJ resulted in them getting brutally beaten in Week 2 by Atlanta at a score of 22 – 6. Last week, with Carson Wentz at the helm, the Vikings had the Bengals for dinner, going 48 – 10. This is a very solid team which might be better with Wentz at QB.
Lay the 2 ½ or, if you like it, buy 1. Minnesota is the play.
Game 2 is in Dallas against the Green Bay Packers, who are a 7 point favorite. This game has the fresh aroma of a home sweet home revenge game. Micah Parsons will be at his best and the Cowboys are 1 – 2. They lost to the Eagles and the Bears and managed to squeak by the awful Giants winning 40 to 37. Green Bay has only allowed 44 points in 3 games. CeeDee Lamb is out with an ankle sprain. The Line is -7: we are stepping out by buying a point to be – 6.
