From September 20: Week 3 – Expect the Unexpected

This is the week the NFL has upsets galore and surprise teams winning or covering the odds. After two games, all the teams are now making adjustments, working on their timing, and feeling sore from real blocking and tackling.

We have two great picks that jump off the schedule board.

The first game is the Seattle Seahawks at home against the 0 – 2 New Orleans Saints. The line is – 7 ½. We are going to buy 1 point and go with the Seahawks – 6 ½.

The next play is a 7 point teaser using Tampa Bay, Seattle and Baltimore. All three are home teams. Tampa Bay and Seattle are playing against two teams who are both 0 – 2, as well as Baltimore at home against Detroit (1-1).

A teaser bet is just that: a tease with the points to win. However, you’re laying too much money to justify the amount of winnings you are getting back.

If you want to play them separately and roll over each wager, all three games have different starting times.

Game 1 is the Jets at Tampa Bay starting 1:00 on Sunday. The line is – 7. Buy 1 point and keep it under a field goal to be – 6.

Game 2 is New Orleans at Seattle with kickoff at 4:05. The line is Seattle – 7 ½. Buy 1 point and take them at – 6 ½.

Game 3 is, of course, Monday night with Baltimore hosting the Lions. The line is – 5 Baltimore. We give the Ravens the edge to win and cover.
